I really wish I bought something like these plugs much sooner. I have always been somewhat sensitive to noises, and noisy crowded places like the disco have never really agreed with me. I still don't like those kind of places, but if I happen to be in one for reasons, I am glad I can just pop the plugs in and it becomes tolerable. I also am really happy with the amount of noise they block; my neighborhood is very lively at times and with these it feels it's quiet at all times. Would highly recommend. Only "fault" I've found with them is the ear tip is a little too big, but I have ludicrously small ears, so...
I was a bit skeptic about them since the purpose i wanted to buy them was not specified or mentioned before. I am a mechanic working in a factory and i experience a very noisy environment but also sometimes i need to speak with people. Well let me tell you this earplugs are amazing even for hearing protection. The noises are greatly reduced and the voice quality and clearness is still there. I am extremely happy with my purchase even advised my colleagues to buy a pair. A big thank you to the engineers who patented these small awesome loops !
It’s excellent for going on an environment that has a lot of people and noises, it cancel a good amount of the noises and helps you stay a bit more calm on situations like this, the design it’s perfect and really subtle and also really cool The mute helps even more with the canceling the noise, its good to use to study also your concentration gets a bot better since the world noise gets lower.
For a very overstimulated mum, these have been my saviour. I have never slept so well in my life. I can’t live without them now.

Love my loop earplugs! I think I need to get the quiet ones too to completely block out loud noises but they’re nice. At first I was bothered with how occlusive they were — hearing my footsteps, my own voice too loud, even chewing but you eventually get used to it. It helped so much with me regulating my emotions when my kids have meltdowns. For context I have adhd and it helped so much. Also great to use when vacuuming
I ordered these in black and white/clear, but green ones arrived. I was giving them as a gift and the recipient had torn the box and touched them by the time I realized they were the wrong color. She luckily loves them and has used them multiple times!
Ich liebe sie. Sie sind einfach ein absoluter Lifechanger. Seitdem ich sie habe ist alles so viel einfacher geworden, sobald ich merke, dass ich auditiv überreizen könnte, nehme ich sie rein und zack ich kann mich unterhalten, die Arbeit ist im Alltag in der Kita einfacher geworden. Es bedarf etwas Training sich zu unterhalten, doch es lohnt sich. Mein Tinnitus dankt es mir sehr. Ich würde gerne die Loops weiterempfehlen mit einem Rabattcode für meine Community, da ich super begeistert von ihnen bin. Bei Veranstaltungen trage ich eine andere Sorte, doch das Traggefühl, das Design und die Farbauswahl haben mich einfach komplett überzeugt. Was ich jedoch jedem mitgegeben würde trainiert euer Gehör auf Geräusche und nehmt die Loops als Unterstützung. Nie wieder ohne meine Loops!
These are so handy as a bartender for working nights with loud music. I’m still able to hear my guests clearly and protect my hearing. Keeps the music and loudness of the party at a tolerable level where I can focus without preventing me from doing my job. Way better than foam earplugs that get sweaty and impede service. I’ve also loved wearing them for concerts and raves as I don’t need to face ringing ears for the day following. Love my Loops! Buying them for many of my friends and coworkers. They’ve even helped me focus on school work when in public.
I’ve been using the Engage Plus Loop earplugs for 7 months now before writing my review and so far I’ve found them to be very good for taking the edge off without making my environment TOO quiet! I use them often while shopping for groceries and around the mall, attending any events with a lot of noise/people present, and for sleeping in the same room as other people to block out snoring and they work exceptionally well. Although the earplugs do slightly muffle my voice (which I’ve mostly gotten accustomed to with the help of muscle memory to maintain a regular speaking level), they don’t amplify any internal sounds such as my swallowing, breathing, etc. as much as cheap foam earplugs would, and I can’t hear them “moving” in my ears like I do with foam earplugs either which is a massive plus for me! They’re also very comfortable to sleep in and don’t hurt my ears at all after prolonged use. I definitely think they were worth the purchase, especially with the inclusion of the Mutes :)
Thanks to my housemate and her noisy boyfriend, I caved and bought these after seeing them reviewed extensively across autism and adhd social media. They are, for physically what they are, overpriced. HOWEVER for the peace they provide they are priceless. Many people seem to think they are noise cancelling when they’re not, they’re noise reduction. So you can stay aware but with a volume option. It does take some getting used to though so be patient. They’re best in a noisy environment rather than a naturally quiet one. The foam tips and mute plugs make them fantastic for sleeping in if you don’t have the Quiet Plugs. I was skeptical, and they won’t work for everyone but with the return’s policy I urge you to try it.
This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! It’s amazing to see how much of my stress has been caused by just an overwhelming amount of background noise, not enabling me to even think or function. I’m not putting it lightly when I say these have saved me! My noise sensitivity has ruled my life a lot of the time and now it’s like I’m experiencing a whole new way of living, the little carry case for them is so cute and convenient too and I love how you can have different ear tips and mutes, I just love them!!
I absolutely love my loops. I’m still in school and sometimes class gets soooo noisy. I currently have the engage plus and it’s perfect. Whenever i feel like I can’t concentrate I pop them in and everything is taken down a notch but I can still hear the person next to me or my teacher. Although these are great, whenever I talk it feels like I’m talking into a fishbowl (which I know is a take away for some people) I also think that if I didn’t get the engage plus, using them in louder events wouldn’t be as effective (so defo go for engage plus). I’m still yet to see how they preform in other settings as I mostly use them for school currently but overall I love them, would recommend (especially if you have noise sensitivity). As a person on the spectrum, I don't think I ever realized how I've never allowed myself to be as bothered as I actually am by my surroundings before I got these. They make everything so much more tolerable. I initially bought these to help me in social situations, but I've had way more use for them than just that. I wear them in any situation where the volume around me is too much. I even wear them when I vacuum now! I've had so much more use out of these than I thought I would! I'll have to deduct a star because these are advertised to reduce the occlusion effect, which I don't feel like they do. They can get bothersome after a while as I feel like it is strenuous to talk with them in. I also wish they had the foam tips in XS... But nevertheless, I'm getting a lot of use out of them!
I an very noise sensitive and the engage work absolutely great, they don’t block out most noise but they lower it, I can still hear people talking but their voices aren’t as loud as they normally are, I can’t hear the cars under the window, I got on the train with the earplugs and when I took them out I was surprised how loud the train was but with the loops in it wasn’t loud AT ALL BRO. I was a bit skeptical because I read people struggle with hearing their heartbeat and breathing, I don’t hear my heartbeat unless I have the loops in my ears in a dead silent room. When I’m walking in the tunnel under the train platforms I feel like I’m breathing too loud and hear myself huffing, but once I take the loops out I don’t hear that at all, but this only happens in spaces where there aren’t noises the earplugs could block out or lower, in school and on the train and anywhere else noisy I do not hear my heartbeat or my breathing. Overall I am very pleased with my engages and I am happy I bought them :3
I would say that the Loop engage is really good at filtering out background noise - but this affects conversation sound quality. It is also harder to understand conversations. With the added inner ring (the extra option) it really blocks out everything which is great because that's what the inner ring is for. It also fits really well within my small ear - different sizes of caps are offered. I have never had an earplug which remained seated and did not get loose at some point - no matter the movements this earplug will remain in your ear. BUT: it needs to do a better job at letting through conversation sounds. Because it is less fit for social activities in my opinion (this is without the extra ring filter). It already blocks out too much in the 50-60 decibel range. If the company just focuses on blocking out all sound above 65+ while allowing most of the 50-60 decibel range I would be completely content. Great, but needs improvement.
I use my loops to deal with hyperacusis which is problematic in certain situations including where there are PA systems or moderate level music or instruments playing, .i.e. not excessively loud venues and situations. I still find I get the occlusion effect when speaking and singing. Other than that the loops are comfortable. I wish there was space in the Loops carry case to store the Mutes when not fitted to the Loops. I have not needed to use the Mute rings yet.
Absolutely perfect for me. Bought Engage plus for the Eras tour in Stockholm, and I was able to hear Taylor clearly. I actually did not use the extra removable Loop Mute accessory. I used the silicon ear tips (default) and it worked perfectly for me. Ofc the sound was a bit lower than if I did not wear the loops ear plugs, but the sound was still clear and in my opinion better, because I was able to hear her voice while standing surrounded by screaming fans incl. myself) and also still be able to have conversations with my friends, which was a must for me. Might not be enough noise canceling for people who needs a lot, but great for canceling out high noises and still be able to have conversations. They fit me perfectly and did not fall out during 3,5hrs jumping and dancing. I saw a tiktok video of someone who made her own chain/necklace. The ordering and shipping went smoothly and fast even to Norway. The delivery time was seven working days, which for me was expected. I was even impressed, that it did not take longer.
I like the way they look, not too obvious. I’m not sure yet what size tips I should use, some people say they shouldn’t be tight in your ears, some say they should. The sound I make myself sounds better when they aren’t in tightly but I’m unsure whether they work optimal then. I find the silicone tips not as comfy, the foam tips are a bit better. Would have loved if the case would also have a place to put the extra -5 dB rings in. I’m scared of losing them if I bring them but having them at hand to adjust the loops is the whole idea I think?
Wanted to use them(engage plus) in social gathering and places where lots of people are talking. But it didn't help there 😕 I couldn't hear the people very much. I will try using bigger eartips. Maybe the noise canceling won't be that strong. Nevertheless, they're great for office, making me stay concentrated much longer and i can study and write stuff for UNI while still "spending time" with my family. Usage with the mute for sleep is quite good. I no longer hear the noises and fall asleep faster. Don't have kids, so I'm not sure how that would work, but I think that that would work too.
The loops do work to negate sound. I can hear voices when people talk louder than normal but I can't if they have a low voice, I can't distinguish the words. I bought the loops because of sound sensitivity and getting overwhelmed because of it. I can still hear the TV (on a normal volume) but it's very quiet. Sounds outside are practically silent except for a neighbour that has a workshop but the mute inserts help a lot! One thing it definitely doesn't help with is banging, it feels amplified in my head. The silicon is really bad, no size fits. Small is too small and medium is too big and hurts and the foam ones just don't work. Getting them off and back on again is just AWFUL! it takes so much effort but at least you know they're stuck on i guess? The case is easy to carry around and clip on anything, I haven't launched my loops yet when I've opened it but it is tiny! Getting the loops in my ear is annoying, i have to force them in to place and I don't feel any suction like others and the company have reported you should. They definitely were worth buying but I think there is a couple of things that could be improved (mainly the silicon sizing)
When I wear the Engage Plus earplugs, it helps a bit to lessen/dampen the noise around me. But certain things are problematic: 1. As I hear myself louder with the earplugs, I tend to talk softer, which means, other people can have a hard time hearing me, and as I don't want to feel like I'm screaming in my head, I have to take the earplugs out again, which kind of defeats the purpose. 2. For me personally, it's just not enough in noisy environments. In quiter environments the earplugs help, but when it's really loud (and I would really need them), the dampening is just not enough (for me and my sensitive ears).
I bought The Experience Plus to help me with focusing at work or having a conversation at bars or restaurants, to protect my ears from loud music at concerts and to take care of my autistic daughter when she has crisis and shout very loud. I have autistic issues myself and find a real relief in many situations using these earplugs. The extra piece of silicone that can be removed allows you to isolate yourself which is very significant. They are very confortable and look really cool!
My daughter said that out of an optimal noise reduction of 10 she would give them a 4. She said they are worth wearing as appose to having no noise reduction but she doesn't think they are worth £40. I do though. Any noise reduction for her is beneficial to me. She wore them on the way home from school passed some noisy road works and despite making sure they were in properly one fell out and she couldn't find it. Given the 4/10 noise reduction qualities I have opted to buy again and purchased the more expensi e option that can switch between modes (i'm hoping being able to observe the difference between levels may make the top level of noise reduction feel better) and have also purchased the string that connects them hoping that will keep them safe if she wears them while walking

No soporto el sonido que produce el viento en mis oídos especialmente cuando salgo a caminar, en ocasiones llega a ser hasta doloroso, esto sumado al constante silbido que sufro de la tinnitus. 🌬👂 Los tapones son perfectos para mi, protegen mis canales auditivos, pero a su vez sigo teniendo la suficiente audición para advertir un peligro (tráfico, ciclistas, patinetes), lo mejor si quiero aumentar el silencio se pueden, me encanta esta opción. 🔇 Estéticamente son súper bonitos, y a su vez discretos, no es que la gente se va fijando en tus oídos, si no llaman la atención mejor que mejor. 👍 Son cómodos, me olvido que los llevo puestos, si no fuera por el dichoso pitido diría que todo sería perfecto. Antes usaba cascos con música 🎶 pero no escuchaba a los demás y los tenía que quitar para hablar, eran incómodos y sentía frío dentro del canal auditivo al quitarlos, no hay comparación. Ahora puedo caminar y hablar, y tengo los oídos protegidos. Los sonidos molestos de fondo se han ido.
these are the 2nd type of ear buds i have tried and by far the more comfortable. My only problem is that they are too good at dampening down noise. I purchased them to wear on public transit (worked an absolute dream on the London Tube (Jubilee and Northern Lines!) and in pubs/restaraunts but have been told that I'm now talking too quietly to be heard by my friends. (I'm usually the one who is overly loud in my attempt to hear myself (without Loops) over ambient noise and music in public spaces). Although not designed to sleep in I was able to sleep quite comfortably with them in while on a recent trip. Now I'm wishing I had purchased a Sleep pair at the same time in order to save on shipping fees.
Having autism is challenging but when all your children have nonverbal autism and noise & screaming is the only communication they have it can get too much. But the Loop Engage Plus have changed my life and how I engage and interact with my girls. No more grinding my teeth or crying in a corner because it’s a sensory overload. I can now sit and watch them play or go through the meltdown without feeling like pulling my hair out. Wish I had these when I was growing hop would’ve made going to school and work a lot more manageable.
Also, ich bin sehr davon begeistert wie viel an Lärm diese loops herausnehmen können. z. B. kann ich an guten Tagen das Schnarchen meines partners mithilfe der loops + der Mute gummies sein schnarchen "ausschalten" und gut schlafen, da sie wirklich sehr angenehm sitzen. Andererseits ist es für mich etwas schwierig mit den loops im Ohr zu sprechen, da man sich selbst hören kann. Ich denke das es eine Zeit der Eingewöhnung braucht, um damit vollständig klar zu kommen, und das es dann nicht so schwierig ist. Ich kann gut meinen Nachbarn mit ihrem öfter heulenden Kind übertönen & den Baulärm mitten in der Stadt macht es auch gut erträglich. Letztendlich sollte man es ausprobieren & die (100?) Tage Rückgaberecht machen es auch realistisch, das Produkt zu testen & zu entscheiden, ob es für einen ist oder nicht. Ich werde sie definitiv behalten und die lange Rückgabemöglichkeit macht es mir leichter.
I’m ordering more that’s how obsessed I am. I love these and I ordered them in a different colour as well. I’ve used them in class and I still hear my teacher really well, but I think it really depends on the teacher not the plugs themselves. I find them comfy to wear and I also ordered them because I have epilepsy. I don’t deal with noise very well and my friend was like “why don’t you just use your AirPods??” They’re just not the same as loop earbuds, loops are actually comfortable and I can wear them for longer than AirPods. They’re not that noise cancelling.
They're comfortable (even for my wonky tiny ear canals), conveniently packaged for everyday use, and they're stylish too. I use mine to combat extraneous noise, sensory sensitivity, and consequential anxiety triggers. I have a small selection of different ear plugs that I use according to circumstance, but these get the most use by far as being able to increase or reduce the decibel count makes a subtle but phenomenal difference. I've bought the Quiet plugs from Loop before and they still get regular use for when I have trouble sleeping, but the Engage Plus are perfect for me for normal daily use. They are a little expensive, but honestly, they're worth every penny.
I work at a bar and had constantly seen these advertised on my Instagram. One night I saw a client wearing them and how he liked them, he said he swears by them and he also works in the bar and music scene. I ordered them that night and when I wore them at work for the first time I genuinely cannot emphasize how amazing they are. I took them off at one point during the shift to hear how loud the music actually was and I couldn't believe that I had ever worked without them. I genuinely swear by them now. I love that I can hear everyone speak perfectly but that the background noise is dimmed. I do want to try to 'Experience' model as well since it's for music/concerts and where I work is overwhelming with the loud music just to see how they compare. But genuinely if you're thinking of getting these and are hesitating, make the leap cause they're changed my entire experience at work. No more feeling overwhelmed with the loud sounds after hours, my ears don't hurt anymore, it's insane how overwhelmed I got and how I never realized that it had to do with how loud the volume was. If I could rate these 11/10, I would. h
I watched a review online saying how great these were in helping with anxiety. I am claustrophobic and quite sensitive to large crowds - if I do not have enough space around me because the area is overcrowded (or during COVID times), I can easily have a panic attack. I decided to trust the review and got the Engage Plus for whenever I go to the grocery store, take public transport or travel. I could not be more satisfied - I am able to remain aware of my surroundings while taking off the edge!
I received my loops fairly quickly after ordering, which was a nice suprise! They work really well in my opinion. I have tried using them in loud places where I still need to be able to hear well, like in my office, while out with my friends and even during a musical. They definitely help with making loud environments more tolerable for me when I'm suffering from sensory overload, and I'm looking forward to be able to do things from now on that was simply too stressful do to noise before! I'm also amazed how much difference the little attachment does to the overall noise levels.
The updated case is great. I like that the earplugs "snap" in now instead of being loose before. I lost a pair of plugs before the design change because they were loose and the case opened up out in public. The customer service was great and replaced them for me under warranty, which was awesome! The plugs themselves are comfortable and do a good job of dampening noise but also allowing me to have relatively clear conversations. I do accidentally speak a bit loud when wearing them, but that's a natural response to having earplugs in.
I thought I would just give them a go. As a late diagnosed ADHDer, I wondered if they would help. I wasn't even aware that noise was an issue but I'd found being in the supermarket hard. I'd tried wearing headphones but didn't like not being able to hear my surroundings. These are perfect. They allow me to feel present but not overwhelmed. I recently tried them at a concert, using the inserts to quieten the sound further. I was pleasantly suprised that I still got the quality of the music and experience but they removed a layer of ... something... that made the experience less overwhelming. Love them. Customer services are superb. Remember these have a warranty. My case was faulty They sorted it.
They are-for me at least a life changing product. Why the low score then? I lost one the other day while it was supposed to be secure in its case. I had them both their case and when I went to use them, only one lonely Loop was still present. Considering the price of these earplugs you can imagine my upset. I was additonally upset to see that there is no option to easily purchase a single replacement and considering how easy it was to accidentally lose one while it was supposed to be safely stored, this feels like an oversight. There are other, less expensive options that come with much more secure cases. Ultimately I really like the Loops themselves, they open the world for me. In a way I didn't think possible. The case just leaves so much to be desired.
I love these earplugs! I've worn them at work and they are a game changer. They really help filter out background noise, but it can be a bit challenging to gauge your own volume with them in. Would definitely recommend to others. I like that they come with different sized adapters (I use the extra small size) and the little case is very sleek. I was a bit skeptical to spend so much on earplugs but it was money well spent. The only drawback is it can be hard to keep track of the Plus plugs, because there isn't a designated spot for them in the case.
AMAZING!! My new favorite thing, loops help me SO much in my everyday life. As someone with autism and is extremely noise sensitive this has helped so much. I nominally have big noise cancellation headphones on and sometimes it feels uncomfortable to be stared at and asked what I'm hearing when most of the time I use them for noise canceling. I have the clear ones and it’s much more discrete and I have noticed people start a conversation with me and I feel less rude when I'm talking to them. Loops doesn’t give don’t talk to me, leave me alone vibes like my big headphones does. So I can now use my headphones when I’m overstimulated or tired of socializing and use my loops when i wanna socialize and be present in a conversation. But the ear tips are a little too big even with XS as I have really small ears.
