Engage 2 Plus starts where Engage 2 does — conversation in front, room behind — and adds a Mute insert for the moments when the room wins. It is the widest range in the conversation family.
Why the Plus
From dinner to the commute home
16 dB, or 25 dB with Mute
The largest jump of any Loop insert. On the higher setting it stops being a social earplug and starts being a quiet one.
Speech stays in front
Even at the stronger setting, the tuning keeps voices ahead of background noise rather than flattening everything.
Covers a whole day
One pair for the office, the restaurant and the train, instead of choosing which one to solve.
How it works
Vented, then filtered
The vented body is what stops your own voice booming in your head — the single most common complaint about earplugs in conversation. The Mute insert closes part of that path when you want more reduction.
Fit and materials
Soft silicone, replaceable parts
Four tip sizes and a replaceable Mute. Wash the tips with mild soap; replace them when they stop holding their shape, which is usually what people mistake for the plugs 'wearing out'.
Good to know
Not a sleep earplug
Even with the Mute in, the vented design is built for wakefulness. For sleeping, Loop Dream is the right shape.
Getting the fit right
How to wear them
Start with the medium tips already on the plug, and keep the other sizes to hand.
Pull the top of your ear gently up and back — it opens the canal and makes the plug seat properly.
Push the plug in and turn it back until the ring sits flat against your ear.
Listen: a good seal drops the room noticeably the second it locks in. If it does not, go up a tip size.
Rinse with lukewarm water and mild soap, dry fully, and store them in the case.
I already got Loop Switch and I was very satisfied. I tried this to have a somewhat lighter attenuation, which could possibily help when speaking with people: from this viewpoint, this works way better to me than the "light" position on my Switch earplugs. going to a music festival with 115-20 dbC average i obviously applied Loop Mute: from this viewpoint instead I felt the attenuation was not enough for me, so the next evening i brought back my trusty Switch pair using position n. 3 and I found it way better than the Engage+Mute combo. this is important: applying Mute on the fly is obviously very uncomfortable and the risk to have them fall on the floor or eventually lose them is high, but I don't think this can be solved and you just have to find the way to cope with it. however, at least when you buy the Engage 2 Plus (like i did) I think a different case with safe and steady room for Mute should be supplied: I put my Mute pair in my default Engage standard case, they obviously move around and every time I gently open the case to extract them or put them back again I risk to have them falling down or lose. not good to me. finally, the quality of the product is extremely high (as for the other Loop stuff I own).
Really rate these! Work better than I thought and not just earplugs. Perfect for work instead of earphones, no removing them everytime someone comes over to talk. They are great for those with sensory sensitivity and have really reduced my sensory overwhelm. Love that they are discreet too!
I got Loop Engage 2 Plus about 3 month ago and I can say that it worth its price. I was worrying about "vacuum" feeling cause I had problem with another earplugs, but it feels very comfortable. I really like that I can regulate reduction with additional mute. However for some people it can be overwhelming cause you can hear your breathing and chewing louder that usual, but for me it was not a problem, I wanted to distance from external noise. I also was worried about price, but I think it worth it. Not only the product itself, but also packaging and option like foam tips and additional mute. It looks stylish.
I have bought from Loop before but unfortunately lost them, I loved the experience pair for concerts so decided to repurchase. I bought a bundle including all 3 and am so happy to have them back. They really help to dampen noise so I don’t get overstimulated and make crowds much more bearable. The only downside is my voice is much louder in my head so it’s harder to talk, hence the 4 star rating, but overall I love them!
These are my second pair I’ve had for a few years. I love loops and recommend to all my ADHD + PTSD friends. I was looking for something with a little more noise canceling and these have just been perfect!! I love the thicker ear piece and the internal loop. Works perfect for bigger crowd situations. And just as comfortable as the original ear pieces.
I get migraines and have noise sensitivity crazies (ADHD) and at first I felt a little nervous about earplugs. But! They work! I got them in clear and without the mutes they are basically invisible, very sleak and discreet (for anybody feeling awkward or nervous. I'm with you). The volume reduction is just right for everyday life and it gets rid of all the bad noise (the screeching tires of a motorcycle perhaps) and you get to keep the good noise (your friend's voice telling you about their day). I honestly didn't expect such good results. And i feel a lot more confident wearing them. The mutes are great and very easy to put on and take off and therapy case is so tiny and cute! It fits everywhere.
I love the engage 2 plus, I have the switch ones and I find the engage more comfortable and easier to use. Also I find it more suitable for having conversations, and I use the switch ones for going to the movies or very loud environments, they’re more occlusive.
I was really hesitant at first about if I need earplugs, how en when I would use them and if the engage 2 was the best fit for my needs. Before I discovered loops, I noticed that I had a hard time to follow conversations when there were outher noises around, like they drown eachother out. The Engage 2's were the perfect fit for this description, but I stayed hesitent if they would really work the way advertised. I had the loop engage 2's (sublime edition) in my basket for a long time before i comiited. Since buying loops , I have used them a lot more than I thought. I bought these just before my exams started and they were a big help for my conentration while studying by lowering the volume of background noise (+ shout out to the loop mutes). I studied with a group of friends, and while the background noise was lower, I could still hear my friends when I needed to. The only downside I have experienced is that you hear yourself louder, but that is to be expected when having earplugs in. I'm really grateful to have these, especially in the gorgeous golden hour colors!
The earplugs are really confortable and meet my expectations for noise reduction. This part is great 10/10, both with and without the added reduction. The only problem I have is with the case design. I understand that you manufacture the same cases for all your earplugs, but you should consider making a differebt one for the switch. When I take my loops out and about, sometimes i wish to put them on without the noise reduction. But there isnt a "spot" for the noise reduction in the case. Which means that when i open the case i have to be suuuuper careful or they fall (the case beign a bit hard to open doesn't help). I have resulted in using an altoids case, as this way i know they won't fly out when i open . Idk if this is well explained, but i am a bit shocked that this issue was not resolved after inicial testing of the product, as it seems like something pretty obvious. . .
I'm an autistic teenager, I bought these because my old ones wore out and these were recommended by another autistic. It brings down the noise level a lot yet I can often hear what is necessary, making it a lot easier to do life, only with less meltdowns. I rarely use the mutes, they normally make the world too quiet and my parents have to yell to get through to me, I save them for concerts, parties, events, ect. They are super comfortable and soft, easy to use and apply. My only complaint is the earplugs must have the mutes in to close the little carry package, so you are constantly popping the mutes in and out. Which doesn't sound like an issue until you own the product and are terrified of losing a piece. I used the other little package my past earplugs were carried in to put the mutes in, then I don't have to worry about losing the tiny loose pieces unless I specifically pull them out. Overall, I love them, good quality, excellent buy. In case this review doesn't exclusively show up or describe my buy, I bought the Loop Engage 2 Plus.
I love these! I got this pair specifically for school, I keep them on my bag for easy access, as I have autism I get overstimulated easily in class and out of class. I love that I can still hear my teacher super clearly but it drowns out a lot of the background noise. I got the dusk colour so that they are discrete as I am quite self-concious. No one can tell they are there in a dark room! The mutes and foam tips really help to take the edge of in those louder areas. I love them! Both the foam and silicone tips fit my ears well. The one thing that should be noted is, when the mutes are in especially, it can create a slight pressure sensation, some people might find this uneasy, but I am used to it. I really think that they are worth a go if you have sensory issues and you are comfortable wearing IN-EAR headphones, most people I've met find them super comfy. But, my auntie does not like the fact that the seal goes into your ear canal. So, as I said before, they might not be for everyone! Thanks so much Loop!
I have a chronic headache (and AuDHD) and get very sensitive about sounds. These give me far better relief than I thought I would and I don't even need the mute -part every time. I live right next to a busy road in a city and it gets really noisy every now and then. It's the perfect tool at work too, I work in healthcare by caring for the elderly. It can get really intense and loud sometimes (in many ways) and the engage 2 plus helps me with the noise sensitivity. I can carry on with my job and keep conversations going without feeling "deaf" or like I'm in a bubble. It's a good solution for many of my sound-related problems.
Bekväma och fungerar bra, lite dåligt med instruktioner om vilken väg (gummiringen) ska vända, dock passar den båda vägarna. Blir ett litet eko av sig själv.
The simplistic but effective design of loops is incredible. I had tried a pair of "Calmer" inserts by the company Flare before these for stimulation reduction, and found them to be very uncomfortable. I have small ear canals and they would often fall out or hurt if I attempted to get them to stay in my ears. Loops, on the other hand, were immediately comfortable when I inserted them with the XS (extra small) silicone ear tips that you can change from the default M (medium) tips. Cleaning the tips is a breeze and they are easy to adjust the fit of at a moment's notice by simply adjusting the position of the loop itself. The price point is acceptable, as many accessibility tools I've looked at tend to carry a hefty price tag. That aspect of accessibility tools has always bothered me, but it was really nice to be able to afford these without it costing me exorbitant amounts of money! I had to step back from my career for a time back in 2022 due to certain medical conditions worsening to the point where I could no longer handle the noisy, chaotic event halls I used to work in. After getting some support, including this pair of loops and the mutes that come with them, I am now back at my job! I get to be a "nerd about helping other nerds have fun" again and that means so incredibly much to me. As a disabled, neurodivergent person who went without the accessibility tools and support I needed for 30 years of my life, I can say - without a doubt - that this pair of loops has changed my life for the better. I live in this pair, from when I wake up to when I go to sleep - even as I'm writing this review, I am wearing them! I am just now setting off on this journey to get the support I need with my doctor, and I am so incredibly glad that she showed me this brand. I look forward to eventually getting a pair of Loops Switch 2 so I can have less hands on switching back and forth with mutes, and more hands on doing what I love! Thank y'all so much for making such a wonderful tool for folks. I recommend this brand to nearly every person I've talked to about disability and neurodivergency in the gaming space!
I struggle a lot with noise sensitivity - high-pitched noises and munching sounds drive me crazy, I get easily distracted, overwhelmed, and angry over the little things most people learn to ignore. I looked for a long time for an answer to this, but none of the solutions I've tried worked nearly as well as these two little earplugs. I've had them now for a bit over two months and I cannot believe how big of a positive impact they've had. I use them every day at work and they're wonderful! I was unsure about buying the green ones - I wished there was a pitch-black option, but they honestly look much better in person than on the pictures. I was also surprised to find out that I prefer the white Mutes over the black ones. The earplugs still have that occlusion effect you'd expect, but subtler. It takes a few days to get used to, but it is very much worth it. I don't have to listen to my coworkers' keyboards or slurping tea, but I can hear most of them just fine when they talk to me. The Engage make it much easier to tune out conversations I'm not a part of and the construction going on down the street. Especially paired with over-ear noise-cancelling headphones and some quiet music, I can finally focus on work much better than I used to. They come with a little case, and my only complaint about the product would be that I wish the Plus version had slots for the Mutes - I don't usually need them, but when I have a particularly bad mood, I wish I could easily pop them in without having to figure out how to safely store them away. The plastic feels really nice, almost like glass. it's easy to clean as well. The silicone ear tips hold on well, almost to the point I get worried I might damage them when taking them off, but so far I've found that fear to be irrational. I really recommend them. These work great for a fraction of the price you'd pay for custom-made earplugs. Now that I've tried these, I'm looking forward to getting more.
Parfait!
I really like my loops! Engage 2 to work in the office without distractions! Experience to enjoy concerts protecting my ears with full music quality. I strongly encourage people to use loop!
As a chronic migraine sufferer, I experience sensory issues and overload during attacks. These earplugs have been a lifesaver for me. They help manage the painful background noise while still allowing me to hear the person I need to communicate with, without them sounding too loud or quiet. If you’re considering them, as a fellow migraine sufferer, I highly recommend them! I’m even thinking about buying another pair to keep in my emergency kit for work.
wanted to try the clear version, and they’re just as elegant and versatile as they look. this feels like a more refined take on the Engage, and the included mutes are a great plus. the foam ear tips are also great, providing noticeably better grip and stability in the ear compared to silicone. . the only downside is that they don’t include an XS size.
I got a pair of Loop Engage 2 Plus after developing sound sensitivity from concussion. I like the versatility of being able to use the mutes or not depending on the situation. Most of the time the earplugs without the mutes don't do enough for me, but I find that putting the mutes in the "wrong" way around achieves a pretty good balance for conversations. Putting it in the "right" way is best for blocking as much sound as possible. Just wish there was space to store the mutes in the case!
My second pair of Engage, I think my toddler threw my previous ones in the trash, I've missed them a lot, so I had to get new ones. They're perfect for living room use as a parent! Without Mute you don't even notice you have them in, conversations are still super clear, but they take the edge of background noises like toys, TV, etc. When you add Mute, you definitely get a noticeable difference, so I can for example sit and read, but hearing words that are being said is harder (you won't hear the TV at all). So I adjust as needed. I am due to give birth soon, will definitely be taking this pair to the hospital!
Still need to find the perfect confirmation but the improvement is huuuuge already ! I now can enjoy a bit more when I go to crowded places with my friends !
I work in a bar that occasionally hosts loud events, so I needed earplugs that would protect my hearing without stopping me from talking to customers. The Engage 2 Plus do exactly that, and more. I now use them at home and on the train to tune out background noise while I'm reading, something I never even considered when I bought them. They felt a little strange at first, but I got used to them quickly, and I actually feel more focused during noisy shifts when I'm wearing them. They're easy to use, easy to clean, and both feel and look great. I'd highly recommend them.
I really love the colors of the case and the earplugs! I already know Engage 2 plus and they're great for pretty much everything, from trains or planes to social events. Even if I add the mute tool, I can still interact with people. Black foam tips offer additional comfort when wearing them, they were a big surprise.
I haven't gotten to use the Engage 2 Plus that much yet, but the volume of the music in the room is a notch lower, which is good, and I'm still able to hear it nicely. The people talking also has a lower volume, so hearing people across the room or across a bigger table was a bit harder. Hearing myself louder is a bit weird, but I'll get used to that.
Looove the Loop Engage 2 Plus!!! I am autistic and highly sensitive to noise so these are amazing for me🙌 the option to add noise reduction is a game changer for me as I work in noisy environments at times. Definitely worth the upgrade. They reduce my anxiety and panic attacks which is huge. Highly recommend! They come with many options for size and comfort. I never leave the house without them☺️
